Patch territory
Most everyday holes are patch jobs — doorknob dents, picture-hanger holes, small cracks, and minor water staining once the source is fixed. Patching is faster, cheaper, and indistinguishable once painted.
Replacement territory
Replacement is the right call when the drywall itself has failed:
- Active or recent water damage (soft, sagging, stained)
- Mould behind the sheet
- Holes bigger than 30 cm across
- Multiple patches in close proximity
- Fire or smoke damage
What we do
For patches we cut, fit, tape, mud (usually three coats), sand, and prime so the wall is paint-ready. For replacements we remove the damaged sheet, inspect the framing and insulation, install new drywall, and finish to the same level. Either way we leave the room ready for paint.

Frequently asked questions
Will the patch be visible after paint?
Not when prepped properly. We feather, sand, and prime the patch so it disappears under the topcoat.
Do you paint after the repair?
Yes — we can repair and paint in the same visit. Full-room repaints are quoted separately.
How long until I can paint over a patch?
Same-day if conditions allow. Most patches are paint-ready within a few hours of the final sand.
